Like Wearing Masks? Vote Matt Robinson for Commissioners Court

For those that think the Commissioners Court is just about money, think again. According to Galveston County’s own website, the Commissioner’s Court “serves as the governing body in each of Texas’ 254 counties. …The major duties of the commissioners court involves overseeing the budgetary and policy making functions of county government.”

So where does Dr. Matt Robinson fit in? Definitely not in the Commissioner’s Court! If his voting record on the State Board of Education is any indication, he’s going to make Lina Hidalgo look positively conservative. In fact, he shares Ms. Hidalgo’s viewpoint on masks:

That’s right, the “good” doctor would have all your children in masks. He believes in transferring the anxieties and fears of adults onto children and expecting children to protect adults. Keep in mind that we know the following:

  1. Masks don’t work. The areas that masked the hardest, aka California and New York, saw COVID-19 cases surge regardless. Studies show that cloth masks are basically nothing more than facial decorations – a statement which one of the Branch Covidians’ High Priestess Leana Wen has made. The only protection that masks can offer is for the wearer – if they are wearing a properly fitted N95 mask. But we can’t expect a urologist to know that; he spends too much time looking at peens and not enough time  not being a peen.
  2. Masks impair learning.
  3. Masks impair normal childhood development. For developmentally delayed children, this is multiplied exponentially.
  4. Masks impair social development.
  5. Masks contribute to anxiety and depression in children.
  6. Masks are dirty and unsanitary – has Dr. Matt Robinson ever seen a child’s mask after a day of school?

He also shares Ms. Hildago’s views on education, or lack thereof:

There is a reason all the Democrats in the county are endorsing him. It’s abundantly clear that Dr. Matt Robinson just regurgitates liberal talking points. You want liberal talking points on your Commissioner’s Court? Then by all means, vote for the “good” doctor. But if you want someone who is actually working for you, who has actual morals and character, who will be a good steward for policy and tax dollars, then vote for Ken Clark.
